31st of December, almost another year over! Can’t believe how fast it went, but then again I think I have that the end of every year

Yesterday I had a very nice diner in Amsterdam at the restaurant BOND (not James), with Florence, Pauline and Suzanne. It was really good to see them all again, funny thing is that it seems like you’ve never been away. The food was absolutely fabuleous!!! YUM

A while agoo I took pictures of Bo and Andy for their wedding invitation, I got it last friday and I like it a lot Here’s some of the pictures and the Invitation.

I am doing better. Doing some photoshoots for the Curaçao Dialysis Center, the last one tomorrow at the hospital. Six weeks agoo I was there also, but then on a not so happy occasion.

I am driving again! It so good to have a car, I borrowed the car of Eva and WIlfred since they’ve allreday left to celebrate X-mas in Holland.
My sister is not doing well (she got Multiple Sclerosis) and it is real shitty to be so far away and not able to help   I am so happy that I am going home for X-mas

The weekend didn’t start very well. With a terrible headache and I was in bed almost all day on Saturday. Luckily I felt better on Sunday. I guess I had quite an extreme reaction to the manual therapy session I had on Thursday afternoon.
Today I stayed at home and in the afternoon I took pictures of Suzanne on one of the towers of the castle. Here are some of them!

Later I had a nice diner with Suzanne and Michel. We (Suzanne and I) are working on another blog with all the recipes of nice things we make…

so you’ll have to wait a bit and then you can try the nice fish soup we made and lot’s of other stuff ☺

Can’t believe it is already four weeks since the accident!

Stradius has Paris Martina (ipv Paris Hilton) as star of the funmiles
campaign. Her little chihuahua Swipe came by the office. All dressed up
in her new Gucci dress. Never seen such a tiny dog (4 months old). She

Yesterday we were at work and all of a sudden all power went dead…I was so strange how quiet it was (you don’t realise how much noise computers make until it is not there). We waited for a while -normally it’s about 10 minutes when there is a problem- but it stayed off. Then we heard that all electricity on the island was down, there had been an explosion.

We went home early, since we couldn’t work. I went swimming in sea with Laura and it started lightning over sea near Venezuela. Really amazing to see the whole sky light up while in the water. At one point it came towards us then we got out. We went to the house of a friend and had a great dinner with frenchfries, hamburges en lamb chops. We sat outside on the porch with tons of candles, it was really special. Then you realise how dependent you are on electricity….

I was ill today! I’ve been sleeping all day and feel a lot better now.
I noticed that I miss you all a lot more when not feeling well. Thanks
for the long distance support !!!!

So much fun!!! Yesterday Jeroen and I were scouting kids (8-12) for a shoot we have today! We went to the movies, it was kids week there and lots of kids! In the end they came up and asked if they could also have their picture taken. I took pictures of 20 kids and we chose 3 of them. At 8 the first kid comes, at 10 the second and at 12 the third kid. It is for 3 ads that will be in allmost all the newspapers on the island tomorrow! So it is quite a tight schedule. We are working with a local photographer, I am really curious what he does at noon, since the sun is really really bright here at that time. So a great oppertunity for me to learn!!!

I had a problem with my creditcard and because of that my blog was suspended ;-( But, it is working again and I can finally start uploading the pictures .

On monday we had a taste of what locals eat for lunch, it was prepared by kids from a school for a charity project.

Tuesday I had some real nice fishsoup with Suzanne and Michel (both
living in appartments downstairs). Wednesday Jouk came over and we had
diner in front of the television , so strange sitting here together
in Curacao instead of Amsterdam!!!!

Work is really nice! Lot’s of fun people and the work itself is also interesting. We are working on a project about food and health, lot’s of things to discover and funny to see so many cultural differences allready! Today we presented 2 concepts and they liked one
of them a lot. I am still picking up Jeroen for work since his car is still
broken…

No one in Holland would ever think about repairing this, but here they do!

Tonight we had a great diner at my house, Joukje, Bernedette en Joost came over. I borrowed a big grillplate from Peter and we had lots of good food (soort van gourmetten, maar dan zonder pannetjes). My first of hopefully many more dinerparties!!!

Here’s some pictures of a photoshoot I had just before leaving to Curacao. Florence was so kind to bring over the pictures (I ordered them via the internet from here). It was a fun shoot, totally different with 2 men then with a family, babies, or mommies. I am also busy with the picuters form curacao, I’ll upload some thonight! Now I am off to the beach
