My friend Margot has a new product, a “voedingsdoek”! Very handy when you want to have a cup of coffee and want to breastfeed your child. The introduction will be at the “9 maanden beurs” And it will be online in her webshop in a month! I love the colorcombinations…and the fabric is really nice, I asked if she could make a blouse out of that same frabric (so who knows, I’ll keep you posted when she does!).

This week was another busy week. Yesterday whole day shoot at location and today first day shooting in the studio with my friend & photographer Daphne! Tomorrow I have another shoot in Castricum . Three more busy weeks and then off to Curaçao, really looking forward to that! Oh and I have a new roommate for 3,5 weeks. Tijger the cat of my friend Laura is staying at my place. Will try to capture him this weekend and post a picture. xoxo eef

I got an email of my friend Margot this morning to check out a link. I read the email but didn’t check it out. Later that day I had her on the phone and we were discussing how to photograph some new products and she asked me if I checked the link. I said no. She said I should check it and I did when I got home….OMG ha ha

We were short of a model while we were taking some pictures for Minimonkey this spring and she asked me if she could take a picture of me. So I set the camera and she took it. But I never realized I would be all over the world with this picture….(she sells her products in Australia, Japan, Europe etc).

I had the same thing years back while I was marketing manager at Ouwehand. We had quite a tight budget for a shoot for the new campaign and we decided that a colleague and I would be the models (to save model costs). Never realizing that we would be hanging in every fish shop in The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany for the whole year and would be in advertisements in the supermarket magazines etc… A couple of months ago I saw a fish shop in Amsterdam that still had me hanging there eating herring I took a picture with my i-phone.

I put a smiley at the end of the sentence and went looking on my computer for the picture. But seeing the poster made me cry. I never wrote about this on my blog, but March this year we lost our family business. After it had been in the family for a 104 years. It feels like a family member has passed away. I just buried myself in work and thought I could just go on with my life. But a while ago I was sick and I did a chakra reading with tarot cards and it was all there on the table, the destruction of an alleged security, the collapse of the family business terrible like a death but also a relief and brake down of prison walls…I cried and I hadn’t cried like that in a long time. Afterward it felt like a stone was lifted from my chest…It is strange, it closed a door to something I really wanted and that was really close. This was the 3rd time in eight years, since I joined the company, that I thought I would get a chance to help change the company and bring it back to its full potential. But I did not.

It did open another door, with the end of one dream there was also a fresh start for another dream, my photography business. And I can say with a smile back on my face now, that it feels good and that I am happy persuing the dream I am living now

How cool is this! Little Cleo on the cover of HJK magazine And I've just sent in the pictures for two other covers! I've got more exiting news!!! I finally have a new home with the most amazing view over the city AND with space for a studio . They will move my stuff on Friday. It has been in the storage since July 2006. It will be weird to see all my old stuff back…..

A while ago I did a shoot for Brams Paris for their new clothing labels The kids where super, real little pro’s! Have a great Monday at work or at home or where ever you are! Maybe you already away on X-mas holiday…I go skiing next week in Chamonix, really looking forward to that!

I won a photocontest of the Antilliaans Dagblad for the best Carnaval picture!!!

Yep it sais HE won with this beautiful picture…I don’t know since when eef is a male name, but hey I won a phone! Tomorrow at 3 I will get the price, they will have a nice surprise when I turn up instead of a man.

I got an email from Patricia Lascabannas, a photographer I met while sailing in France, that she had a new website. When I looked I saw that pictures of us have been published in two sailing magazines. One I’ve seen, but the other was a total surprise!

Today my pictures got published in NRC NEXT! A Dutch national newspaper. I am following a photo summercourse and the pictures of the 1st day are published. Today at the course, I got high up in the sky in a crane on a construction site! This was so cool, we just asked and I was allowed to go up!!! As a kid a used to climb on the roof of our house to sit there and enjoy the view. The neighbours would call my mom and complain that I was sitting on top of the roof…I love hights and great views. I’ll post the pictures later!
